Before watching the following videos and answering the questions, lets make a few predictions...
- What does a sway / stabilizer / anti-roll bar do?
- What do you expect to see when a bigger sway bar is installed? Why would that happen, or not?
- How about if you only changed one of two in a car? How would a car's handling change if you only changed the rear sway bar?
- In the first video and the camera view is from under the car before the modification, pay particular attention to the inside wheel. What happens to its contact to the road as the vehicle goes back and forth? What do you see? Why does it do that?
- After the change has been made, what happens to the contact with the road? Does it increase, decrease, or stay the same? Why does it do that?
- What was the body roll with the stock sway bars?
- What was it after the bigger sway bars were installed?
- What about the new sway bars causes this change?
- As a driver, what is the added value in making this change? Explain.
